Plenty is a exhibition by Allison Rose Craver & Katie Coughlin. Presented in Milwaukee, WI during the 2014 NCECA conference, the exhibition includes work by each artist as well as a collaboraive sculpture that serves as the show's centerpiece.
Plenty, which began with the idea of exploring tableware’s role in contemporary life, quickly evolved into a broader exploration and understanding of abundance. While notions of packed cabinets and perhaps grand dining traditions are suggested in the exhibition’s collaborative title piece, it does not suggest excess. Instead, our commitment to basic forming techniques and material honesty, conveys a sense of gratitude and earnest diligence. This quality asserts itself throughout the exhibition, allowing space for viewers to weave their own memories and impressions into our stories of recognized bounty.
